The Manager, Patient Financial Services (PFS) is directly responsible for carrying out the plan to improve the revenue cycle. This position supervises all billing, cash posting, and follow-up staff and is charged with improving their productivity. The Manager is actively involved in problem solving and conflict resolution with team members, customers, and insurance companies. This position requires a high level of timely, accurate, and complete analysis and oversight of the collection of revenue.
Education/Experience
- Associates degree or combination of related experience and education required
- Related experience is at least 5 years in a medical billing capacity with at least 3 of those years in a supervisory role
Qualifications
- Able to use personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail / calendar functions for day-to-day activities.
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
- Broad knowledge of medical billing operations and third-party billing policies and procedures.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.

Evening, night and weekend shifts may be eligible for shift differential. This is a leadership role and eligibility for participation in management incentive program offered.
