<p><strong>Software Engineer - C++ Engineer</strong><br/><br/><strong>A day in the life of a C++ Engineer </strong><em><strong> </strong></em></p><p>As an engineer in the Tracking team at Hawk-Eye Innovations, you will be part of an agile team that is responsible for the delivery of a suite of products based on our Tracking products used in the likes of Tennis, Baseball and Cricket. </p><p><br/>You will partner closely with our product team and customers to establish requirements and develop innovative solutions to the most complex challenges within sports technology.  You can expect to solve complex software problems and collaborate with the wider team to brainstorm solutions, conduct research and find the best solution.  You will be using an agile workflow, using two-week sprints to deliver game-changing technology and will support the configuration and deployment of our products that are delivered on a global scale.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Contributing to the design and implementation of new components of the analyser and scrubbing systems</p></li><li><p>Maintaining our existing software</p></li><li><p>Full life cycle development of projects, liaising with creatives, product engineers and the wider development team</p></li><li><p>Supporting testing in the field, which sometimes includes travel to sports events </p></li><li><p>A desire and the ability to innovate, learn and push the boundaries</p></li><li><p>Helping more junior team members to improve via code reviews, and ensuring the code they write meets our high standards when it is merged</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise </strong></p><ul><li><p>You will be proficient in C++ (ideally modern C++, up to at least C++17)</p></li><li><p>You will have experience in optimising code</p></li><li><p>You will have a good knowledge of how to write efficient multithreaded code</p></li><li><p>Ideally, you will have knowledge of Git and Visual Studio</p></li><li><p>Any knowledge of the following would be a bonus but not essential:</p><ul><li><p>Qt</p></li><li><p>Databases</p></li><li><p>OpenGL</p></li><li><p>Networking</p></li><li><p>AWS or similar cloud based technologies</p></li><li><p>FFmpeg</p></li><li><p>ZeroMQ</p></li><li><p>3D geometry and rendering</p><p></p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></p><p>Hawk-Eye is an equal opportunities employer and as such makes every effort to ensure that all potential employees are treated fairly and equally, regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, age, disability, or union membership status.</p>
