Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will provide Hand Reconstruction and General Plastic and Reconstructive care to patients across the UChicago health system. Appointees will assist in building the hand/upper extremity service within Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, expanding/growing the elective practice, and providing critical care to hand trauma patients through our level 1 trauma center. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the States of Illinois and Indiana, and 3) be Board certified or eligible in Plastic Surgery or equivalent.
We especially welcome applicants who have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in hand surgery.
