Reporting to the VP of Innovation and Customer Experience, the Director, Equipment Innovation is a proven leader who will define, create, and lead the implementation and execution of innovative equipment strategies that deliver a consistent and trusted service experience for our customers. An innovator and a tactical team player, the Director is charged with creating competitive advantage, building programs for field operations, and ultimately driving revenue growth while balancing the realities of the Refreshments line of business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the innovation pipeline that manages all phases of idea generation, solution design, vendor coordination, as well as prepares information for decisions, gathers buy-in from leadership and develops program, pilots concepts, measures results and launches to Refreshment Services North American Locations.   
  • Responsible for vendor management and procurement of Refreshment Services coffee, vending, water and micro market equipment needs 
  • Coordinates with Marketing, OpEx, Finance, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain on equipment innovation pipeline and vendor management. 
  • Effectively facilitates the resolution of issues in the field through a matrixed organization 
  • Responsible for project management focused on timely oversight of each phase of the program to ensure it is field and client ready at the launch phase 
  • Evaluates new equipment requests  
  • Determines needs and analyzes areas of improvement 
  • Manages equipment and program cost saving initiatives   
  • Develops strategic initiatives around equipment with input from leadership and operations to sustain and increase revenue growth and profitability year over year. 
  • Builds out calendarized plan for equipment strategy 
  • Creates project plan for individual equipment roll-outs and works with field to assess and keep on time and on budget 
  • Supports Large Account Implementation including but not limited to vendor management, supply chain coordination and project management of on-site installations across North America 
  • Supports New Business and Base Business Growth with innovation solutions to meet exceed our client needs 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred with Minimum of ten years’ experience, preferably in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment.   
  • Demonstrated ability to focus & manage multiple priorities 
  • Experience sourcing and implementing new tools and technologies 
  • Very strong organizational skills with an attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills combined with a commitment and proven ability to succeed within a fast paced sales organization 
  • A history of upward mobility at fast-paced companies 
  • Experience in program development,  implementation of operational change and strategic analysis 
  • Experience in resolving complex issues surrounding business process design through strategic thinking and tactical approaches 
  • Track record of working effectively with team members and influencing all levels of a complex organization. 
  • Position requires 50% travel to various locations within the company in North America.
