Job Specifics: The Launch PAD program is a five-year grant from 10/1/24 through 9/30/29 designed to improve community knowledge around mental health and supporting positive development and growth of youth ages 0-8. The Behavioral Health Educator will implement training groups in the community on Mental Health First Aid and the Family Check Up Online. This role is responsible for initiating and facilitating Mental Health First Aid training for medical practitioners, educators, day care providers and other groups supporting youth ages 0-8 years old. Training will occur throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. The Behavioral Health Educator will participate in community events and provide information and education around parenting practices taught in the Family Check Up Online and Mental Health First Aid. The Behavioral Health Educator provides coaching, skill building, hope, and connections.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, healthcare, education, or a closely related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Bilingual preferred. At least two years of field experience. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Workshop facilitation and community resource connections experience are preferred. This position must have experience in providing training to adults in a variety of settings. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must have reliable transportation. Will be required to participate in community outreach events, including tabling and presentations, which may occur during evening and weekend hours.
