Enterprise Operations Reporting Specialist

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a highly motivated Help Desk Operations Analyst to join our team. The Help Desk Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, and reporting IT events, with a particular focus on service interruptions, incidents, and outages. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to various stakeholders.

The IT Event Reporting Specialist is responsible for monitoring, documenting, and reporting IT events, with a particular focus on service interruptions, incidents, and outages. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Monitoring and Detection:
   • Monitor IT systems, networks, and applications to detect service interruptions, incidents, and outages in real-time.
   • Use monitoring tools and software to identify and log events as they occur.
   • Incident Documentation:
     • Accurately document the details of IT events, including the nature of the incident, affected systems, and potential impact on business operations.
     • Maintain detailed logs and records of all incidents and service interruptions.
     • Create and Maintain Dashboards
2. Reporting and Communication:
   • Prepare and distribute timely incident reports to relevant stakeholders, including IT management, business units, and external partners.
   • Communicate effectively with technical teams to gather additional information and updates on incident resolution progress.
3. Analysis and Improvement:
   • Analyze incident data to identify patterns, root causes, and potential areas for improvement.
   • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement preventive measures and solutions to reduce the occurrence of service interruptions.
4. Coordination and Escalation:
   • Coordinate with various IT teams and vendors to ensure swift resolution of incidents.
   • Escalate critical incidents to senior management and provide regular status updates until resolution.
5. Documentation and Training:
   • Develop and maintain documentation related to incident management processes, protocols, and best practices.
   • Provide training and support to other team members on incident reportingand documentation procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT event monitoring, incident reporting, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices for incident management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools and software (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple incidents simultaneously.
