Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager - Principal to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This is an ONSITE position supporting the US government’s efforts regarding Federal immigration laws and regulations. This position may, on an as-needed basis, require performing certain functions at various locations across the continental USA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects
• Providing a single point of contact for those projects
• Provide technical leadership, apply this leadership in any phase of the system development life cycle support as task requirements dictate and may have a high level of expertise in one area
• Utilize an accomplished knowledge of multiple technical disciplines, unique applications, and business management practices to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems
• Assist clients in planning and developing objectives and goals
• Support client objectives while conforming to the client’s operating practices
• May be required to act as a technical supervisor
• Taking projects from original concept through final implementation
• Interfacings with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services
• Defining project scope and objectives
• Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
• Conducting project meetings
• Project tracking and analysis
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Reviewing project deliverables
• Managing integration of vendor tasks
• Tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables
• Providing technical and analytical guidance to project team
• Recommending and taking action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology management or equivalent
• Applicable and current project/program management certifications (i.e., PMI)
• Applicable and current information technology certifications (i.e., DoD 8570/DoDM 8140)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in information technology management or equivalent

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
