The Service & Team:
The Occupational health and wellbeing team are seeking a confident, driven and motivated individual to join our growing team. As part of the Health Safety and Wellbeing team within People and Change, you will be working to deliver key elements of the council statutory Health surveillance programme (medicals), business support functions and Health and safety compliance support for schools.
The Role:
This is a hybrid that is supported by both OH and H&S in its delivery and training. Ideally you will already hold a Nebosh General certificate in H&S (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate suitable work experience in either field. However consideration will be given to individuals who demonstrate skills and or aptitude for the role.
Key tasks within the role include but are not limited to:
Safety critical health surveillance medical delivery - Spiro/audio and vision
advice and guidance on H&S and OH issues
on call duty rota for safety team
business support functions
support the wellbeing delivery program
Full training, upskilling and support will be provided in each element of the service offer and to support your continued professional development. The ability to travel within Cornwall is required and some out of county travel for training, upskilling and courses will also be needed.
What you'll need to succeed:
Applicants should have good customer service skills, can do attitude and look forward to trying new things and varied workloads. A good level of IT skills knowledge is also required.

As this is a hybrid role your main work base will be New county hall, Truro, as well as alternative locations as determined by client and delivery needs.
