We are seeking a Government Relations Consultant to join our Miami, FL office.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain relationships with governments, trade associations, industry coalitions, public services, and other authorities to influence policies and positions.
Monitor, analyze, and report on government policy and legislation.
Assist in developing policies and political strategies involving underrepresented groups and interacting with such groups and organizations
Educate business leaders about the need for developing strategies of inclusion for all political and social groups involved in policy making
Identify strategic partnerships and strategic communications with business leaders.
Develop and implement government relations initiatives.
Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to enhance partnerships demonstrated through strong programs and policy outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Skilled in public policy and/or human resources with prior experience with the Federal Government.
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred; Ten years’ relevant experience.
