Government Relations Consultant

We are seeking a Government Relations Consultant to join our Miami, FL office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Build and maintain relationships with governments, trade associations, industry coalitions, public services, and other authorities to influence policies and positions. 

• Monitor, analyze, and report on government policy and legislation. 

• Assist in developing policies and political strategies involving underrepresented groups and interacting with such groups and organizations 

• Educate business leaders about the need for developing strategies of inclusion for all political and social groups involved in policy making 

• Identify strategic partnerships and strategic communications with business leaders. 

• Develop and implement government relations initiatives. 

• Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to enhance partnerships demonstrated through strong programs and policy outcomes. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).  

• Skilled in public policy and/or human resources with prior experience with the Federal Government. 

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred; Ten years’ relevant experience.
