Physical Security Specialists

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Junior Physical Security Specialists in Chantilly, Virginia.

Junior Physical Security Specialists supporting security administration requirements at various Peraton facilities.

• Provide technical knowledge of large-Scale security projects, coordinate security system design specification and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
• Excellent project management skills are required with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience in prioritizing tasks effectively and work seamless across organizational boundaries.
• Securing the compliance of physical security projects standards, project Scope of Work, budgets, and timelines.
• Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.
• Support Security system equipment commissioning.
• Complete final Test and acceptance of security systems.
• Build and deploy training programs for users of physical security system.
• Responsible for the design oversight and installation of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance Systems.
• Perform preconstruction reviews and makes recommendations for compliance with guidance for construction, expansion, and modifications of facilities.
• Responsible for overseeing the construction of secure areas IAW ICDs/JAFANs/DoD. Manuals and other guiding policy documents.
• Support maintenance and upgrades of the existing systems, installation of new systems.
• Proficient with Lenel access control system.
• Possess a good working knowledge for the construction of SCIF / SAPF facilities and TEMPEST countermeasures.
• Support all physical security activities in the local DC Metro area as well other Peraton facilities across the country.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience or 0 years with a Bachelors degree. 
• US citizenship is required and must to be able to possess and retain a Top-Secret level security clearance. Furthermore, they must maintain it as a condition of their employment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and business acumen
• Ability to travel up to 15% required.

Preferred:

•  Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
