As part of the modernization and transformation of information systems within Cision, our Product Engineering team is growing! We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer who will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the team's efforts to produce high-quality software, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment and support.
• Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Create data tools for analytics and data science team members to help them create and integrate models
• Write clear technical documentation and comments in code for other developers.
• Write unit tests and automated test scripts.
• Participate in team meetings and encourage an open and collaborative team dynamic.
• Communicate with team and management about project timelines, barriers and status.
• Keep abreast of relevant technologies, methodologies and tools.
• Be proactive on technical solutions

Skill set & qualities required:

• 5 to 8 years of experience on the following technologies:
Java and/or Spring boot and SQL (backend) Angular and/or JavaScript and/or HTML and/or CSSet/pi NodeJS (frontend)
• Good knowledge of Jenkins (CI/CD), Maven, Docker/Kubernetees
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology, tools and techniques (ideal)

We are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, programming or a similar field.
• Minimum of four years of professional experience in software development, and ideally with high-speed data ingestion queuing/streaming (Rabbit, Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)
• Experience with quality assurance and testing, including unit testing, TDD methods and automated testing
• Strong ability to write well-designed, testable and effective code.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology, tools and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Confirmed English required (B2 equivalency)
