About the role

<p>Control Risks is hiring a Product Security Investigations Analyst to support a key client of ours, a multi-national consumer products business, based in Bangkok, Thailand. This role will help support the client by conducting investigations into concerns as it relates to the theft, duplication, or other violations of the clients IP and product. This position will work across the Southeast Asia region, with key markets including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia. </p><p>This role is being recruited as an initial 12-month contract, with good potential for further extension.</p><p>Responsibilities will include:</p><ul> <li>Conduct in-depth analysis of brand protection issues including counterfeiting, diversion and tampering of consumer health goods.</li> <li>Monitor and analyse online marketplaces, social media, and other open-source intelligence to identify potential violations of brand rights, IP and product diversion.</li> <li>Analyse multiple internal data sources to identify linkages and patterns to support the triage process for new incidents; support ongoing investigations; and to build the intelligence picture of illicit supply chains.</li> <li>Set and deliver against structured action and collection plans for each investigation.</li> <li>Review, assess and obtain alignment from the Regional Manager on Vendor investigative plans (IP) and estimated budgets.</li> <li>Support the investigative process and suggest modifications to IPs and budgets as required.</li> <li>Under the guidance of the Regional Manager, engage with internal and external stakeholders in determining appropriate investigative strategies.</li> <li>Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on investigations referred for enforcement.</li> <li>Ensure investigative records are maintained in an accurate, timely, and thorough manner and related metrics are appropriately captured in the case management and intelligence management systems.</li> <li>Assist in conducting periodic vendor performance assessments.</li> <li>Support local evidence storage and destruction processes.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Collaborative and engaging with strong organisational skills.</li> <li>3+ years of experience investigating, enforcing brand protection issues and/or data analytics and reporting.</li> <li>Experience with IP enforcement (preferably with litigation and/or in-house experience). </li> <li>Experience in an investigations-focused law enforcement role would be an advantage. </li> <li>Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Experience in search methodologies and enforcement protocols.</li> <li>Able to speak, read, write and comprehend reports in English.
