HR Business Partner - EL SEGUNDO

We are looking for an experienced client facing HR Business Partner (HRBP). You’ll be a strategic advisor to Business Leaders, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.  You will handle daily HR activities including learning and development, employee relations, organizational effectiveness and the annual employee cycle (i.e. goals, year-end reviews, engagement, etc.)..

This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of  El Segundo.  Reporting to the VP, People, you will have ownership of the following key areas:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver both strategic and tactical HR support and programs to employees and people leaders, including but not limited to, learning and development, employee engagement, employee relations and performance management.
  • Create learning content and programs: design, develop and deliver engaging learning content and experiences that fulfill the needs of our employee population and our culture, mission and values.
  • Develop and implement effective learning and talent management programs
  • Resolve complex employee relation issues, and proactively prevent future ones.
  • Coach and advise people leaders, with special emphasis on new people managers.
  • Lead communication, roll-out and creation of initiatives related to employee engagement and manager effectiveness; including the administration of surveys, analyzing results, work with leaders on action planning, and lead the survey task force to present and implement solutions.
  • Support the administration of the performance management, talent planning, calibration exercises and career pathing exercises, providing insights and analysis to people leaders.
  • Support change management initiatives, including internal communication planning and execution, to ensure smooth implementation of organizational changes.
  • Own and manage all trainings for the organization and administration of the UKG LMS module
  • Manage or assist with ad hoc HR duties in-line with a fast moving and dynamic tech start-up.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Organizational Design, IO Psychology, Human Resources, or related field.  
  • 5+ years combination of Learning & Development and HRBP experience in fast moving entrepreneurial/start-up environments.
  • A combination of Fortune 500 HR best practices experience and recent technology start-up company experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas preferred: Learning & Development, Employee Engagement Survey Administration, Employee Relations and Performance Management.
  • Highly proficient at creating and writing bespoke HR documents and letters.
  • Highly proficient at conducting group facilitation and supporting training program rollouts.
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications.
  • Highly proficient utilizing and running reports in a modern HRIS system such as UKG.
  • Strong working knowledge of CA employment law.
  • Strong business acumen, some non-HR business or technology experience would be great. 
  • Strong attention to detail and listening skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, spoken, and presentations to executive and staff audiences.
  • Solid working knowledge of compensation practices would be great.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast moving, fast pivoting, start-up environment.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in an HR related discipline 
  • Solid working knowledge of compensation practices
