Manager for Mammalian Production Coordination

We have more than 30 nationalities employed and the daily language is English.</p> <p><strong>The Production coordination Team</strong><br/>You will lead a team of 15 technicians, review and operational scientists. The team is responsible for the daily planning, ordering and daily batch doc review of our state of the art mammalian manufacturing. We use Single-use equipment and run production activities on 3 different production lines and are ramping up a new facility. Together with the Upstream and Downstream Operations team, the Production Coordination teams constitute the Mammalian Manufacturing Department with a total of approx. 160 people.</p> <p>The Mammalian Manufacturing Department is responsible for the production of Drug Bulk Intermediate (DBI) / Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for pre-clinical, clinical and commercial use.</p> <p><strong>The New Mammalian Facility</strong><br/>By summer of 2024 our New Mammalian manufacturing facility will become operational and we are currently onboarding people to prepare and operate the new facility. People will start in the current team and growing the team will hence be part of your new role.</p> <p><strong>The position</strong><br/>As the Manager for the production coordination team you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>GMP compliance and safe work environment of the team.</li> <li>Planning- and coordination of work, board meetings and shift plans.</li> <li>People management, hiring and developing people, conducting mid- and end year appraisals.</li> <li>Secure prober training are in place and conducting process confirmations on the shop floor.</li> <li>Equipment availability, planning maintenance, upgrade and purchase of new equipment.</li> <li>Problem solving, optimization and standardization of work processes.</li> <li>Ensure housekeeping standards and represent the department during audits/inspections.</li> </ul> <p>There is constant collaboration across the organization, and all employees have a professional and flexible attitude towards their work.</p> <p>You will together with the other teamleads/managers and the head of department be part of the leadership team where operation, reliability and optimization of the entire department will be key.</p> <p><strong>Experience and competencies</strong><br/>The ideal candidate holds a Technical or Academic degree within bioprocessing or similar and have previous been a leaders, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate for the position has several of the below competencies/experiences.</p> <ul> <li>Several years of experience from the biopharmaceutical industry working in a GMP environment.</li> <li>Leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.</li> <li>Understanding of mammalian upstream and downstream manufacturing is a plus.</li> <li>Strong communication skills (English)</li> <li>Structured and analytical oriented.</li> </ul> <p><strong>AGC offers</strong><br/>AGC offers a dynamic working place with good opportunities of working with a varied array of tasks and challenges.
