About the role
Job Purposes
Develops and directs the strategy and implementation of Human Resource initiatives for business. Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of the human resources function, including employment, compensation, talent planning, performance management, organizational structure, engagement, and employee relations. Oversees the development, recommendation, and promotion of comprehensive personnel policies and programs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and the accomplish the organization-wide business plan and objectives and apply knowledge of company goals, business environment, and functional needs to design and develop strategic plans; execute strategies and methods in alignment with enterprise goals and HR policies and practices
- Manage all aspects of the human resource function for the company to develop and maintain an efficiently-operating department which includes directing, managing, advising, and motivating employees
- Ensure an efficient recruitment/interviewing function to maintain adequate staffing at all levels and the uniform and equitable application of Human Resource policies and procedures
- Administer benefit plans including health, dental, life, and long-term disability to ensure that coverage is available for all eligible employees and provide compensation guidance in alignment with pay for performance culture and supports annual compensation planning process
- Ensure legal compliance with various governmental laws and regulations covering the areas of labor relations, safety, wage and hour, and employees' compensation, and oversee the annual development of the company action program and job evaluation system
- Drive performance management culture including management and employee development initiatives
- On-going design and review of program dashboards & outcomes, resulting in the ability to report trends and recommend strategic changes in support of the company's goals
- Ensure the management, strategic planning, and long-term implementation of a variety of training and development services and non-technical programs to provide well-trained employees for the organization
- Serve as trusted advisor and valued business partner to executive leadership and their teams including acting as a coach and mentor to leaders and offer creative solutions to sensitive issues using a multi-disciplined approach
- Provide appropriate communications within the organization and promote employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives along with developing positive employee morale
- Evaluate and analyze data and information from HR reports to determine HR issues impacting the organization
- Drive change management and process improvement initiatives
- Oversee the talent management process through identification and assessment of strengths and development opportunities
- Partner with Finance to ensure headcount and business plan alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related fields
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management
- Minimum of 3-5 years of team management
