This course explores the experience of young people in the criminal justice system. An in depth analysis of the goals of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and the ways in which the legislation both succeeds and fails in meeting those goals will be undertaken.

Requirements:

The Common Law Section is seeking candidates who are leaders in the legal profession. An LL.B., J.D., or equivalent is required for this position. Membership in the Law Society of Ontario in good standing is also required. The successful candidate will have significant experience in the areas of youth criminal law and social justice. The candidate will further have knowledge of the youth criminal justice system. Prior teaching experience will be considered an asset.  

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
