This role will directly manage multiple UX researchers across the Wealth Canada portfolio, work with product leaders for team roadmap, champion and lead strategic design activities in addition to the below responsibilities.

Understands how new consumer and business customers approach search, evaluation, and selection of a banking solution. Strategically negotiates design solutions in relation to business goals. Helps organizations through a better understanding of the customer use preferences and needs by analyzing “Voice of the Customer”. Designs and facilitates research programs,analyzes data to deliver unique insights. Connects research questions and insights that bring out intuitive designs and support strategy and product development. Collaborates with Design, Marketing, Product and Technology stakeholders both inside and outside of the team.

  • Defines and executes a comprehensive research plan.
  • Identifies best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
  • Collects and analyzes user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments.
  • Identifies and incorporates complex technical and business requirements into research and helps advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.
  • Develops budgets and timelines for research projects.
  • Presents findings to designers, developers, and other stakeholders and concludes on the action plan.
  • Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
  • Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion.
  • Regularly connects work to BMO’s purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through.

Salary:

$92,400.00 - $171,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
