NHQPurpose
- Responsible for the ongoing analysis, review and reporting of Hyundai’s (HMA’s) and Genesis' (GMA) Incentive programs. HMA’s incentive expense is one of our largest expenses, more than $4B annually. This position is responsible for all forecasting and budgeting of various incentives, and for analyzing and reviewing detailed incentive program proposals to confirm their reasonableness and accuracy prior to management approval. An additional responsibility is to analyze actual results, including post-program reviews of program effectiveness, working with National Sales Incentives teams. This position contributes to monthly, quarterly and annual planning and reporting and other analyses as they come up.
Major Responsibilities
- Analyze and review all non-fleet incentive programs, including both retail incentive and variable margin programs (Accelerate, Brand Ambassador, etc.), for reasonableness and accuracy prior to approval.
- Prepare financial models to calculate the impact of operational decisions.
- Lead analysis of monthly actual financial results and prepare monthly financial reports for HMA management and for the parent company.
- Analyze and review forecasted incentives for consistency, reasonableness and accuracy.

- Assist in the coordination of the annual Company budget with primary focus on incentives.
- Develop recommendations for how to make incentive programs more efficient and effective, and how to improve forecast accuracy
- Develop relationships with relevant operating departments and coordinate the gathering of pertinent data points, both internal and external, to assist in the analysis, review, and forecasting of incentive programs.
- Conduct ad hoc studies and analyses as required with short lead times when necessary.
- Effectively coach, counsel, and develop staff. Utilize the diverse talents of the staff by efficiently managing staff’s time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.
Authority
- Review and approve regular dealer incentive DCS announcements.
Education
~ Must be a high school graduate~Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance~ Master’s degree a plusRelated Experience
- Eight or more years of experience of which at least five years of directly related experience in finance.
- Work experience with an automotive OEM in Sales, Incentives, or Captive Finance areas preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience desired
Skills/Knowledge
- Requires an understanding of accounting and financial analysis principles and methods.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Proven efficiency leveraging data from various systems for analysis and reporting (including SAP, OneStream, Excel and SQL query tools).
- Understanding of dealer and consumer incentive programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certification
- CMA, CPA, or CFA desired.
