Group Leader – IPC Assembly Emissions

Position Summary:

The Group Leader, IPC Assembly Emissions/Precision Sampling provides first-level leadership and establishes the day-to-day goals and objectives of the team.  This role is responsible for achieving company objectives for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team harmony. Through open communication, the Group Leader is responsible for the performance of their team and team members and is entrusted with the authority to secure compliance with their directives.

 

Outline of Duties:

• Demonstrates a positive role model for all Associates to promote each Team Member’s success.
• Maintains familiarity with all job duties and skill levels of all Team Members and monitors events that may affect Team performance.
• Responsible for the assessment and development of each Team Member’s performance.
• Understands, teaches, and promotes the SIA Production System to all Team leaders and Team Members.
• Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures and take appropriate corrective actions, if necessary.
• Aligns leadership styles to that of SIA’s Principles and values.
• Plans, monitors, and leads activities according to Plant and Section goals related to Safety, Quality, and productivity.
• Oversees the completion of emissions testing and precision measurement in accordance with federal requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of relavent experience and education
• Three years of relevant experience including previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous management experience in automotive manufacturing
• Previous experience within project management field
