  • Technology Leadership

    • Design and optimize end-to-end targeted NGS workflows with assay team.

    • Institute stage gates on technology (R&D → Pre-Validation → Validation → Release).

    • Build robustness across sample types (whole blood, saliva) and throughput modes.

    • Work with Clinical Lab Operations to define analytical performance claims (LoD/LoQ, precision, specificity, interference/cross-reactivity, carryover) and verification/validation study designs.

    • Supervise team development of research analysis pipelines including definition of QC metrics acceptance criteria for successful development

    • Establish truth sets, simulation frameworks, and benchmarking (GIAB, contrived mixes)

    • Define analytical performance under real-world conditions.

    • Collaborate with downstream bioinformatics teams for production hand-off.

  • Team Development

    • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of R&D scientists
