Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

 

Requisition Summary

PACCAR has invested in headcount add to support additional Aftersales focus and development of applications and technology to support customers and dealerships. This small team within ITD will support Aftersales across all divisions and truck brands globally as we work toward a joint strategy. Candidate must be comfortable working in a strategic role with frequent ambiguity and many opportunities for visibility within the organization. This is not a typical BA role with a single program assigned: it is your expertise that is needed as we help get projects, programs, and products going and provide any necessary support to remove roadblocks. A successful candidate will work well under pressure, possess curiosity and business acumen, be comfortable leading workshops, and have a strong grasp on the trucking industry.

 

The Aftersales Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting efforts to manage, maintain and execute on PACCAR’s Global Aftersales Systems Roadmap. The Aftersales Roadmap is a set of technology related initiatives that will drive PACCAR to an industry leading position for Parts, Service, and related processes. They will work across PACCAR to gain alignment on Aftersales initiatives, coordinate requirements with business leaders and support efforts to define and estimate work. They will also lead the efforts to capture business requirements for the initiatives on the roadmap, including facilitating User Story workshops and building a product backlog. The Business Analyst will be part of a small team that reports to a Program Manager and includes a Solution Architect as well. 

 

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of PACCAR’s Aftersales processes and systems in order to support the long-term execution of the Roadmap.
  • Support the gathering of business requirements for Aftersales initiatives, working in concert with the Program Manager and Architect.
  • Leverage strong agile skills to capture well-formed User Stories.
  • Support efforts to define the scope, size and estimates for Aftersales initiatives.
  • Support the process to recommend technologies and partners who can support the Aftersales Roadmap.
  • Support the process to execute technology selection efforts in support of Aftersales initiatives.
  • Provide support for a regular global steering committee of Aftersales leaders and periodic workshops.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

 

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in a business analyst, program management and/or applications development capacity; Agile/Scrum experience strongly desired.
  • Experience supporting development of funding requests for large, complex projects (technology preferred).
  • Experience working and supporting Aftersales (Parts/Service) in the automotive or heavy equipment industry desired.
  • Experience with agile practices, including writing User Stories, Estimating User Stories and Building a Product Backlog.
  • Strong Leadership skills and critical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to function independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.

 

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Technology or related field required.
  • Masters degree in Technology desired.
