NFC HW & RF Expert Engineer for Customer Application Support

Additional information about the working context

• The candidate will integrate a 40+ expert engineers team, based in 3 European locations (FR: Caen, AU: Gratkorn, GE: Hamburg), with various skill sets on Secure Transactions & Identification technologies & verticals, like NFC & UWB RF/HW, NFC & UWB SW (FW & MW), but also Security (eSE, JCOP OS, Applet, Secure Services) and overal CustomersSystem
• The candidate will work in supporting mainly Mobile & Wearable customers, but also potentially Infrastructure, Industrial & IOT ones
• The candidate will cowork with NXP R&D team for new product introduction to the market, and also collaborate closely with Regional technical support teams

Goal

• Support the NFC controller integration into customer platforms (Mobile & Wearable mainly)
• Act as an hardware & RF expert
• Develop & deliver the NFC Product Support Packages (incl. docs, boards, trainings) enhancing customer’s developers experience
• Empower regional support to minimize response time to customers

Key areas of Responsibility

• Support NFC HW integration into customer devices & ecosystem, by providing high level of RF expertise
• Support customer by optimizing NFC performances to pass all required ISO, FCC and RED certifications
• Support optimization of NFC hardware and antenna customer designs
• Deliver Product Support Package in time with high quality level (Application Notes, boards, tools…)
• Interface Regional CAS engineers & NXP R&D teams
• Ensure skills ramp-up of the regional CAS teams, providing training and support
• Develop his own Product/RF System competencies
• Be consulted for design and system integration
• Take part of pre sales activity, being able to enhance & promote product’s value proposal
• Involved & active in the lead customer pre-sales & design phases
• Identify and create new elements for next products value propositions

Main Experience required

• Solid experience in customer support, preferably in the NFC RF & HW domains
• RF application expertise (RF filtering, EMC, impedance matching, Rx/Tx chain, IC Front End transceiver architecture)
• Experience of a multicultural environment (Asia, Europe, India, America)

Necessary know how / skills

• Master’s degree
• High Technical RF Skills (RF transceiver, HW, antenna, platform connectivity, resonator circuits…)
• NFC knowledge, including NFC standards & protocol
• Familiar with Lab measurements and equipment (VNA, EMVCo test bench…)
• Familiar with Mobile & Wearable Platforms (SW & HW)
• Ability to face with customers in meetings, calls and lab sessions
• Fast reactivity and ability to manage crisis (methodology, synthesis, drive, communication) under customer pressure
• Excellent communication in English (written or spoken)
• Good contact and ability to work in a multicultural environment
