The Institute for School-Community Partnerships, Integrated Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy (ISCP), which is part of the College of Education, envisions that all schools in the state of Florida and nationally will have the capacity to provide a safe, effective, and efficient environment to continuously improve the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students and to actively engage families and communities in education. The ISCP’s nearly $23 million budget is derived from grants from federal, state, and private sources. It is the mission of the ISCP to implement and evaluate research-based and innovative practices in school and community settings. This is accomplished through (a) training, technical assistance, and support to key partners; (b) community-engaged research and program evaluation to inform key partners’ decision making; (c) the development of research and evidence-based documents, tools, and resources to support implementation and evaluation activities; and (d) supporting the infrastructure and capacity of key partners to implement and evaluate federal and state educational policy.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant State Director, Research and Data Compliance Analyst I provides a variety of data management services and complex duties that support the 21st Century Community Learning Centers
(21stCCLC) program in the collection, processing, organizing, and entry of data to support student achievement, and the viability of projects and programs. Additionally, Research and Data Compliance Analyst I will research and provide demographic data and indicators to assist in the development of future RFAs and RFPs, to ensure programs are appropriated throughout the state.
Research and Data Compliance Analyst I serves as the statewide technical resource for staff by facilitating trainings and providing access to reports, data, and information which requires utilizing specialized software and databases. The Research and Data Compliance Analyst I position requires accuracy based on the need to follow compliance requirements of the program, and state accountability measures. The Research and Data Compliance Analyst I must work collaboratively with state staff, subcontractors, and outside vendors or agencies to maintain and facilitate desired outcomes. Research and Data Compliance Analyst I helps to evaluate program effectiveness, ensure compliance with the federal and state requirements, and support data-driven decision making for continuous program improvement. through data collection and management, demographics, academic outcomes, and program participant data.
Special Skills/Training
Advanced skills in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Computer skills with a heavy focus on interaction with databases, data collection, and reporting programs. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication and public speaking and presentation skills.
Review and evaluate a variety of often used platforms, like EZ Reports, that reflect the performance of 21st CCLC programs in the state which means interpreting data in all elements for 21st CCLC programs, including student and family participants. Support training and provide technical assistance to 21st CCLC programs interfacing with data collection systems used for state and federal student and program level reporting. Facilitate timely program support when requested by coordinating with other stakeholders, such as 21 CCLC Units. Ensures the validity of all data presented to staff.
Develop and revise methods and procedures for conducting research and compiling statistics for 21st CCLC needs. Deliver related data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. Research and provide demographic data and indicators to assist in the development of future RFAs and RFPs, to ensure programs are appropriated throughout the state. Maintain data integrity through validation, review of data systems, and collaboration with stakeholders. Compiles data from multiple assessments to develop student, subject, grade-level, or school achievement profiles.
Assist in writing of statewide reports of program findings and reports of individual program findings for the FDOE. Assist the state director and assistant state director with the development and updating of the annual grant development plan based on the department's strategic priorities and most recent funding available.
