Job Description
Summary:
The Principal, Enterprise Drug Product Solutions is responsible to promote company financial support initiatives, including but not limited to the MI Assist Program and strategic partnerships with third party Alternate Funding vendors. This position involves managing client-facing interactions and collaboration with the Ray Savings Solutions Leadership Team to drive sales of financial support programs to support MedImpact’s business goals and contribute to overall business results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide strategic input, direction, and management to cross-functional teams within business unit. Strategic direction includes: formulating and administering business unit policies, business processes, and quality standards; ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures; developing and managing business unit budget/sales targets; and ensuring succession planning and ongoing development programs are in place.
- Help recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with third party vendors aimed at securing alternate funding for high-cost medications and/or disease states.
- Oversee the daily operations of the MI Assist and Alternate Funding Programs including:
- Following outlined product development and management processes, manages the overall scoping, planning, business requirements definition and delivery of products and services to customers from idea inception through design, development, delivery, ongoing support, and enhancement and potentially retirement across the full product lifecycle.
- Provides subject matter expertise and best practices related to product development and process management, and is the Product Expert for assigned products, applications, and services. Provides leadership of product lifecycle, addresses technology and marketing issues and deliverables affecting products and services within the lifecycle process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Partners with business stakeholders, end-users (including MIDS preferred specialty providers and Alternate Funding vendors) and business analysts to define business rules as they apply to processes and procedures and to define and document business requirements and develop work-flow diagrams, functional hierarchies, process models, revenue models, fee schedules, etc. Ensures business requirements are appropriately translated into customer deliverables.
- Coordinates and participates in user acceptance testing efforts to ensure the delivered product meets the required functionality, user interface and performance requirements.
- Champions the rapid adoption of new and enhanced products and services by conducting trainings and demonstrations. Will produce necessary materials such as tutorials, release notes, help guides, FAQ’s and any other supportive material necessary. May create new or update existing sales and marketing materials including, but not limited to, product binders, product summaries, sales presentations, proposal language, and product training materials.
