Job Description

Pine Technical and Community College is accepting applications for a Human Services Eligibility Worker Faculty, UFT, to begin fall semester 2025. The instructor will teach in-person at our Pine City campus, as well as online. This position will provide instruction, student advising, and academic program responsibilities in the Human Services Eligibility Worker Program. This position will become unlimited upon completion of required six semesters of probationary status.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree.

Occupational Experience Requirement

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a caseworker, eligibility worker, case manager, supervisor, trainer, lead worker, financial worker, financial assistant specialist or MAXIS mentor. Experience must be in at least one of the following: determination of eligibility for public assistance; employment training program related to public assistance at the state level.

Recency Requirement

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Preferred Qualification 

  • Teaching Experience at the post-secondary level or with adult learners.

  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive technical and community college.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish a positive learning environment that promotes retention, accountability, inclusivity, excellence, innovation, collaboration, safety, and personal/professional growth.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations of learners.

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Salary and Benefits:

The current starting salary range is $44,143 - $73,690. Full-time faculty work a 171-day contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May). Please note: Initial salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience in accordance with the faculty contract.
