Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

Special Assistant to the General Counsel

Remote position with strong possibility for relocation to office locations once established & Hybrid work environment in the future, as well as the high potential for regular travel 

In this role, you will provide administrative support to General Counsel and Natcast Board of Trustees. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the Legal function gaining exposure to administrative operations, and strategic decision-making processes of a cutting-edge organization at the forefront of the U.S. semiconductor industry. 

Every day, you will manage complex schedules, coordinate meetings, handle correspondence, and assist with the preparation of financial and administrative materials. While primarily focused on supporting your Principal Executive, you will also have the opportunity to interact with and support other executives, providing you with a broad view of Natcast's operations.

Natcast is a trailblazing non-profit entity established under the CHIPS Act to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium. As a key component of the CHIPS and Science Act, Natcast is dedicated to advancing semiconductor R&D in the United States, convening government, industry, and academia to address the most challenging barriers to technological progress in the domestic semiconductor industry. 

The Special Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Natcast's financial and administrative functions, contributing to the organization's mission of advancing U.S. semiconductor capabilities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming front office for the Principal Executives Department  

  • Manage the Principal's calendar, schedule meetings, and prioritize critical issues requiring immediate attention 

  • Provide administrative support to other senior leaders as needed, ensuring efficient time management and delivery against shared organizational goals

  • Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, on behalf of the Principal Executive 

  • Prepare and proofread reports, presentations, and other documents 

  • Assist in the preparation for and coordination of board meetings and other high-level events 

  • Manage travel arrangements and expense reports for the Principal Executive and other executives as needed 

  • Assist in the preparation of materials for business performance reviews, audits, and strategic planning sessions 

  • Coordinate cross-functional communication and follow up on action items from leadership meetings, facilitating open communication between the Principal's Department and other teams in the company 

  • Support special projects as assigned by the Principal executive

  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information 

 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of professional or internship experience in executive administration, project management, management consulting or a related field  

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
