Senior Project Manager* PMO Global Digitalization Projects / R&D Digitalization 

 

We at BioNTech are a pioneer and global leader in developing mRNA based vaccine that aim to address various infectious disease as well as patient specific cancer. To support these initiatives, we are seeking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Management Office for the digitalization of our BNT research laboratory program as well as our modular manufacturing program as part of BioNTech Global Digitalization Team.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

Program support: Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the R&D program and the modular manufacturing program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with program manager, business representatives and software experts to create and maintain.

 

• Program scope, objectives, and program structure

• Digital program roadmap to monitor progress effectively.

• Program coordination

• Program budget planning and controlling

• Program resource allocation incl. a program organizational chart

• Program reporting to variety of stakeholders as well as software-supported reporting Program status Report

• Program documentation

• Program and project level action items to ensure efficient program execution.

 

PMO processes & optimization: Development and improvement of PMO processes and procedures

 

• Implement and refine best and effective practices for project management within the digital program and continuously improve it.

• Oversee and optimize program and project management processes within the digital work packages

• Foster communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management

 

Risk, Change & Decision Management: Set-up and maintain program risk, change and decision management processes to ensure information flow between cross-functional teams in collaboration with Project managers and Program managers.

 

• Oversee and identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate issues.

• Develop process to follow up and update risks log and ensure closure of mitigation by team.

• Develop, implement and monitor change management processes across the program.

• Collaborate with project teams to effectively plan, document and monitor decisions

Project Management/ Project Management Office

 

• Proven experience leading PMOs in the context of digital programs, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (agile methodologies as well as hybrid), tools, and best practices

• Hands-on change management experience is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet program goals.

• Experienced in working in highly cross-functional teams.
