About the role
<p>As a Senior IP Integration Engineer at Nokia, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team focused on executing cutting-edge IP routing projects in our Network Services Delivery Center. Your role involves validating designs, conducting network acceptance testing, and creating comprehensive procedures and configuration templates. You'll be the go-to subject matter expert in the IP/MPLS domain, working closely with project teams to ensure seamless project delivery across access, aggregation, and core networks.</p>
<ul><li><strong>Collaborate with Network Design Teams: </strong>Develop test plans, strategies, MOPs, and technical documentation as per project SoW.</li><li><strong>Lab Environment Setup: </strong>Configure and validate tests, including MOPs and configurations.</li><li><strong>Configuration Management:</strong> Create templates and node-specific configurations for basic setups, routing, MPLS, security, redundancy, QoS, accounting, and services.</li><li><strong>Implementation and Integration:</strong> Handle the implementation, integration, migration, and SW/HW upgrades of IP/MPLS equipment (both bare metal and virtual routers) as defined by SoW, design, and MOPs.</li><li><strong>Troubleshooting:</strong> Address network, software, and hardware issues during network activities.</li><li><strong>Technical Support Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with IP technical support teams (TAC, R&D, Design).</li><li><strong>Project Support:</strong> Assist in project effort estimations and scope of works.</li><li><strong>Risk Management:</strong> Identify and define technical risks associated with project delivery.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Lead improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge.</li><li><strong>Product Liaison:</strong> Communicate with product units on issues and product roadmaps.</li><li><strong>Documentation and Presentations:</strong> Produce technical documentation and presentations related to customer projects.</li><li><strong>Project Participation:</strong> Attend key project technical activities (PoC, FOA, and rollout kick-off).</li><li><strong>Internal Technical Calls:</strong> Conduct NSDC internal technical calls.</li><li><strong>Information Security:</strong> Ensure compliance with Nokia's information security practices and organizational policies.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of relevant telecom experience in the IP/MPLS domain, working with service providers (SP) offering mobile and enterprise services.</li><li>Advanced practical knowledge of IP technical solutions, including:<br/>- IPv4, IPv6<br/>- Routing and switching<br/>- MPLS, segment routing<br/>- Services: L2 VPN, L3 VPN<br/>- QoS, multicast<br/>- BNG, CGNAT, redundancy</li><li>Hands-on experience in configuring routers/switches using Command Line Interface (CLI) with Nokia and Cisco devices.</li><li>Nokia NRS2 certification or equivalent certification from another vendor.</li><li>Good practical knowledge of Nokia NMS, including:<br/>- NE integration<br/>- Software upload & upgrade<br/>- Backups<br/>- Alarm monitoring and interpretation</li><li>Knowledge of SDH/PDH and PSTN, FTN technology and tools like Cramer is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with Key mile XMC23 and XMC25 architecture and services.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous and proactive approach to teamwork.</li><li>Willingness to work night shifts (time to time).</li></ul>
