GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

The Guest Service Representative will be responsible for assisting our guests in person and on the phone.  They will work with checking in & checking out guests as well as making reservations for future visitors.  They will also be responsible for taking in payment at time of check in.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have a high school diploma and work experience in an office environment.  The candidate will be working either the 7 AM – 3 PM shift or the 3 PM – 11 PM or the 8 AM – 4 PM shift with little to no supervision. This person must be flexible with the shift hours.  Schedule will be based on bookings and hotel guest’s arrivals.  The candidate must have office/clerical experience and be able to provide excellent customer service to all guests of Eagle Ridge Conference Center & Resort.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Applicant must have a high school diploma and work experience in an office environment.  Must have strong computer skills.

Desirable:  Associate’s Degree in hospitality or hotel guest services experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

Answer incoming calls and transfer to appropriate office if needed

Directing visitors to the correct meeting space, guestrooms or office area

Check in/Check out hotel guests using front desk computer software

Collect payments in the form of cash, check, credit card and/or purchase orders

Perform data entry assignments as needed

Take reservations for guestrooms through telephone calls or in person

Maintain a clean and welcoming environment
