Job Description
Your Career
As a Technical Enablement Specialist at Palo Alto Networks, you are responsible for improving the product and industry knowledge of technical team members from the sales, customer support, and professional services organizations. This role partners with Technical Enablement Architects to design product and industry training.
Individuals in this role are focused on the Palo Alto Networks Cortex portfolio, which brings enhanced security operations, analytics, and automation to customer environments. The position is primarily responsible for technical aspects of the product training, such as product features, configuration, deployment, and optimization using tools within the product. The scope and function of this position require close coordination with Systems Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Support, and other Shared Services teams. This role will focus on the Cortex portfolio and report to the Senior Director of Technical Enablement.
All candidates must have relevant security orchestration and response knowledge or endpoint detection and response and an understanding of technical training methods. Experience in a Security Operations Center as a senior analyst or operations role is ideal for this position.

Your Impact
- Contribute to onboarding learning programs so new hire technical personas can present, demonstrate, and deploy Palo Alto Networks Cortex products
- Maintain a deep technical understanding of security orchestration and automation response techniques and security operations center functions
- Support ongoing technical enablement activities for new hires to develop skills to deliver effective customer presentations, demonstrations, and product deployments related to the Cortex platform
- Participate in designing and building Cortex lab environments to support Cortex product feature learning
- Document Cortex learning paths for technical personas
- Partner with Cortex Technical Enablement Architects and stakeholders to determine learning objectives
- Support the Cortex Technical Enablement Architect role in collecting technical product information required to build digital learning solutions
- Act as a point of contact for technical product questions from stakeholders and technical personas
- Work with the Technical Content team to review courses or enablement content information
- Support the delivery of security operations methodologies, processes, and Cortex product technical enablement through sessions, workshops, assessments, and certifications, whether conducted remotely or in person, catering to diverse technical personas
- Participate in stakeholder interlock meetings with Cortex technical sales leadership, product management, and customer support/delivery leaders to review a rolling 2-quarter enablement plan for feedback, refinement, and augmentation
- Partner with the platform team to maintain the accuracy of postings and learning journeys
- Participate in technical enablement communications to Cortex stakeholders and technical personas
- Leverage data and metrics to correlate program participation to performance outcomes, making course corrections as needed to ensure desired results are achieved
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Security Analyst, Technician, System Engineer, Professional Services or Customer Success role
- Relevant security operations technical experience working with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR/XDR tools and products
- Knowledge of Attack Surface Management tools and concepts preferred
- Moderate technical knowledge of security operations center processes and procedures, including incident response activities
