Position Description: DIGIT is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Digital Innovation for General Services Administration (GSA) Infrastructure Technologies (DIGIT) task order. The Business Analyst role requires an experienced, skilled, and highly motivated individual to drive innovative infrastructure solutions on a federal government contract through directly supporting, researching, planning, and facilitating the implementation of scalable infrastructure solutions in on-premises and/or cloud environments that are highly available, reliable, and resilient. To be successful as a Business Analyst on an innovation team, you should be able to take initiative, self-manage, meet deadlines with high quality work artifacts and participate as a high functioning collaborator in Agile ceremonies. As a top-performing Business Analyst, you should be able to identify ways in which to improve customer satisfaction and to deliver optimized solutions to business problems.
Requirements
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:
- Excellent business analysis skills, including elicitation through survey and interview, meeting facilitation, assessment, and analysis of processes/procedures, capturing requirements (in all categories), process mapping, feasibility and viability of solution options, analysis of alternatives (AOAs), SLA (Service Level Agreements) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics development.
- Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, documenting, and developing basic systems processes and procedures for infrastructure solutions development to support the research and evaluation of how products will be integrated into the existing environment(s) to improve service delivery and increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborating on the development of end-user documentation, including assisting with preparation of process documentation and the following: technical documentation (including process diagrams), end-user documentation (Standard Operating Procedures and training), testing, research and reporting, process mapping and optimization.
- Providing business analysis in support of the full range of engineering activities such as infrastructure engineering design, enterprise architecture standards and governance, infrastructure architecture (e.g., on- premises, cloud, and hybrid), experimentation, prototyping, concept development, planning, requirements definition, validation, analysis, feasibility assessments, systems design, integration, testing, Release and Deployment Management (RDM), and overall service and product support through the creation of artifacts including: project vision, scope definition and roadmap, business and technical requirements, System Implementation Plans (SIP), Standard Operating Procedure, documentation of as-is and to-be processes, and any other documentation in support of engineering development team activities.
- Engage with Customers, Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), Product Owners and other stakeholders to document business processes effectively and elicit requirements for infrastructure solutions including cloud, AI/RPA, machine learning, ServiceNow, and other modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with other Business Analysts through shared drives and G-Suite tools in the creation and editing of documents, spreadsheets, process flow diagrams and presentation slides.
