Who we’re looking for:
The Business Development Manager is a results-driven sales professional with experience identifying, cultivating, and winning new opportunities within the healthcare purchasing services industry. Specifically, the independent Senior Living market. The Business Development Manager will offer a customized range of food service, business product and services contracts, medical product supplies and Healthcare Technology products to, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, and other types of senior care living providers. In this role the Business Development Manager will be part of Navigator’s experienced business development team, prospecting and building a book of business with key influencers and decision makers within the senior living care community. This role will require great relationship-building and presentation skills and will include cold calling and virtual meetings. Upon successful completion of new sales, the Business Development Manager will assist in the relationship transfer to the appropriate support resources.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify, qualify, present and close new business opportunities in the independent senior living market in a regional and national scope.
- Virtually meet regularly with key decision makers to understand business requirements and provide solutions through Navigator Services and technology consulting.
- Develop business plan and sales strategies to convert competitive GPO business to Navigator.
- Work strategically with the new customers to identify needs while recommending and implementing solutions that improve profitability and quality by leveraging all the resources within Navigator.
- Manage new business development efforts while, maintaining meticulous organization using salesforce automation platform
- You will hold screening and in-depth calls/virtual meetings with prospects to learn how our expertise and services align with their businesses and needs, sell our capabilities, and advance them in the sales cycle.
- You will work on a cross functional team, coordinating with Account Executives, Directors, and other staff for support with proposals and meetings.
- Work in conjunction with the Regional Support Specialist, Regional Sales Director, Field Implementation Specialist and VP of Sales from account management, sales support, and onboarding capacity.
- Conduct virtual meetings with members.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Experience in pipeline management via a CRM platform
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word®, Outlook®, Excel® and PowerPoint® and Saleforce.com.
