Job Summary

FreeWheel is seeking a Senior Product Designer based in New York City to help us design and build the global FreeWheel platform. Design thinking is a critical part of the product development process at FreeWheel. We design and develop B2B applications in the advertising space. As a Senior Product Designer, you will work with cross-functional teams in conjunction with product managers, engineers and other product designers to develop and improve FreeWheel applications. You will join a dynamic, passionate, and growing design team that is shaping the future vision of FreeWheel products.

As a brilliant communicator, you'll find surprising new ways to work with colleagues, wherever they are based. You'll bring infections passion for human-centric design and infuse your approach to your work with this passion.

Job Description

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating closely with product managers, various internal stakeholders, and engineering, you will work on core products and initiatives, designing concepts, product prototypes and interactions that are clear and validated through feedback and research.

What you'll do:

  • Lead complete projects from initial research and analysis through to delivery
  • Ground your work in observations, research and analytics
  • Translate high-level ideas into tangible, user-centred requirements
  • Coordinate with the rest of the product design team and product managers to create consistent experience language and seamless user flows across products
  • Develop workflows, wireframes, visual designs, specifications and interactive prototypes
  • Constantly work at creating value by suggesting elegant and simple design solutions that solve problems and seize new opportunities
  • Actively collaborate, seek feedback, thoughtfully process it and apply where necessary
  • Confidently and articulately communicate design rationale to stakeholders and the wider business
  • Consider the strategic impact of design, interrogating the 'why', not just the 'what' and 'how' of a problem
  • Contribute to the roadmap - collaborate with the rest of the product team to discover, define, and prioritise design work
  • Understand the motivations and drivers of partners and key-stakeholders
  • Advocate for user-centric design practices
  • Take on a critical role in advancing design excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring alignment of design solutions
  • Share your knowledge through blogs and design sessions to socialise design and raise team profile across the organisation
  • Mentor peers and new hires through sharing experiences and processes to foster growth
  • Actively contribute to the evolution of the design system by proposing updates and suggesting new components
