Quality Coordinator (1st Shift)
We are looking for a Quality Coordinator for our Geneva, IL facility. In this critical role, you will provide quality leadership and a hands-on approach to problem-solving to ensure customers are fully satisfied with the company’s service.
The Quality Coordinator will report to the Quality Manager and maintain the quality management system within the Geneva, IL Center.

- Receiving, In process and final inspection (testing of products)
- Create inspection certificate report according to DIN EN 10204-3.1
- SAP inspection plan, measurement equipment, complaint, capability.
- Coordinate and Monitor, Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly gauge calibration
- Support audit activities (External /Internal) IATF 16949
- Conduct product and process audit following VDA standard, requalification’s.
- Conduct Measurement System Analysis MSA
- Create and Submit Deviations for quality issues to customer.
- Support to maintain quality related WI’s
- Support customer quality concerns.
- Drive Problem Solving
- Conduct monthly Quality Circle Meetings
- Participate in the disposition of non-conforming product as required, including communication with customers regarding Quality issues and Complaints
- Create Quality Alerts as needed.
- Provide training and support to employees on all quality concerns and customer complaints
- Create credit memos, handling invoicing of consumables, order and receive supplies
- Maintain 5S in the Quality Lab
Your Responsibilities
- Drive corrective and preventive actions using KPI inputs with a focus on effective root-cause analysis
- Support quality planning process
- Provide product quality analysis via various testing methodologies. Support Material Review and disposition of non-conforming product
- Manage Quality System documentation, gauge inventory, audits, reporting of quality system status/key process indicators
- Train production personnel in quality system requirements, processes, and procedures as required
- Daily customer interaction for order expedites or changes as needed
- Proactive notification in cases of delayed deliveries
- Effective problem solving within the center
- Coordination of activities with personnel outside of the center with other Oerlikon locations/entities
- Other duties may be assigned or required.
Your Profile
- Associates Degree preferably in Quality or Material Science (equivalent experience may substitute)
- 2+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing and/or production environment preferred
- 1+ year of experience implementing and executing ISO 9001:2015 standard is preferred
- Ability to effectively use of problem-solving tools such as Pareto charts, run and control charts, cause and effect diagrams as well as 8D (or a similar problem solving discipline)
- Proficiency working with MS Office (i.e., Excel, Work, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Effective verbal /writing skills and strong presentation skills
- Must be energetic, goals-driven, result-oriented, and high-energy to be effective in this role.
