Student Worker - Instrumental Music (Band)

The Blinn College District is searching for a Student Worker - Instrumental Music (Band) at our Brenham Campus. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:

Job Summary 

Assist the Instrumental Music Program in office duties, as well as serving as monitor for the Machat Music Facility during student usage past regular working hours.  

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform basic office duties
• Monitor the Machat Music Facility, utilizing a rotational schedule with other student workers.  
• Lead room set ups for various class meetings and rehearsals
• Work at public events and contests
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications

Applicants must be Full-Time enrolled students at Blinn College and have Federal Work Study Eligibility as a part of their FAFSA.  In addition, applicants must be either a declared Music Major or enrolled in at least one applied music ensemble course.  

Minimum Competencies


Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience that includes either office skills, customer service, or both.  
• Computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel.  
• Copy machine operation skills
