We are seeking a full-time, remote User Acceptance Tester. The User Acceptance Tester (UAT) is responsible for planning, documenting, executing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing activities across business-critical systems. This role partners closely with Business, IT, and Development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements through comprehensive test coverage, clear documentation, proactive risk identification, and disciplined defect management throughout the testing lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core UAT Execution & Planning
• Analyze and interpret business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to proactively identify all applicable testing scenarios, including positive, negative, boundary, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Create, document, maintain, and execute detailed UAT test cases and test scenarios with clear steps, expected results, and traceability back to requirements.
• Develop and manage UAT test plans, testing schedules, and execution strategies aligned with sprint, release, and deployment timelines.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness discussions to ensure testability is addressed early in the delivery lifecycle.

Testing Lifecycle & Process Ownership

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including test planning, test design, execution, defect management, retesting, regression testing, and UAT sign-off.
• Ensure UAT activities align with organizational testing standards, quality gates, and audit requirements.
• Identify testing gaps, risks, and dependencies early, and escalate testing barriers or quality concerns in a timely manner.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of UAT processes, templates, and best practices.

Defect Management & Azure DevOps (ADO)

• Log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps (ADO) with clear reproduction steps, screenshots/logs, severity, priority, and business impact.
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to triage defects and validate fixes.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing to confirm resolution and prevent reintroduction of issues.

Batch & Integration Testing

• Execute and validate batch job testing, including active batch processing, data validation, upstream/downstream dependencies, and error handling scenarios.
• Validate data integrity across interfaces, files, and system integrations impacted by batch or scheduled jobs.

Documentation & Communication

• Produce clear, thorough, and auditable testing documentation, including test cases, execution evidence, defect summaries, and UAT sign-off artifacts.
• Communicate testing status, risks, defects, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to business testers during UAT execution, including test script clarification and issue troubleshooting.

Post-Release & Production Readiness

• Participate in post-release validation, smoke testing, and defect evaluation to ensure production stability.
• Support release go/no-go decisions by providing clear UAT completion and risk assessments.
• Liaison with Development, QA, Business Analysts, Project managers, and the end users.
• Participate in scrum and release planning meetings.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Active participant in UAT testing process improvement.
• Identify, analyze, and report on test failures.
• Apply business process knowledge to test cases.
• Escalate testing barriers when required.
• Work collaboratively with cross functional project teams regarding requirements clarification or issues prese
