Summary

Join our team at PEIA! We are a small agency and work hard for the State of WV. This position provides support for our agency in all areas of personnel administration. This role functions in a specialized capacity, serving as a resource of information and technical expertise for a wide range of Human Resource processes and systems.

This position serves as a primary point of contact for the statewide Human Resources network to obtain information for special projects, with responsibility for collecting, assembling, verifying, and organizing data. The incumbent will provide guidance to staff on best practices within assigned HR functional areas.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Processing a wide variety of personnel transactions in HRM, including appointments, separations, promotions, reallocations, pay changes, and other action types
• Entering, reviewing, and posting job announcements in NeoGov
• Entering, validating, and troubleshooting UKG (Kronos) time entry, including assisting employees and supervisors with timekeeping issues
• Running, interpreting, and distributing business intelligence reports to support HR operations, compliance requirements, and management decision-making
• Providing guidance on benefits, payroll processes, leave administration, and FMLA procedures
• Coordinating and overseeing the on-boarding and off-boarding process for PEIA, including orientation materials, documentation and exit procedures.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Candidates may substitute related experience for the required education at the rate of one (1) year of experience for thirty (30) semester hours of education.
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Substitution: Graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at the rate of one (1) year of experience for fifteen (15) semester hours of education.
Promotional Only: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Human Resources Associate.

Note: A valid driver's license may be required.

Supplemental information

Pay Range: $35,702 - $61,628

Market Rate: $54,918
