Administrative Assistant (67766)

Pay range:  $22 - $26/hour depending on years of experience. 

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.   We are currently seeking a full-time  Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland. 

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties and supporting program and staff needs by fulfilling routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, creating spreadsheets, and providing information to callers for designated behavioral health units. This professional works extensively with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical terminology course completion preferred
• Computer, office/electronic data input and work with electronic health record experience preferred
• Office equipment use including copier and fax.
• One-year medical office experience preferred in a physician/outpatient clinic, community hospital setting or correctional environment preferred.

Available shift:  days, 40 hours/week
