Work schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.

Job Description Summary
Nationwide Investments employs a research-driven, team-oriented, and results-focused investment process to manage our clients’ portfolios. Research, Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Information Technology and Client Advisory are all critical functions within the investment process. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for supporting the team in one or a more of those functions.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
As an Investment Analyst you will be an important part of the Investment Team closely working with various associations/senior management to support the management of Nationwide’s Investment portfolios. Responsibilities includes supporting the management of the existing portfolio, new investments, fulfilling reporting needs, data management, special projects and contributing to the investment process. As part of the Nationwide Investment Team, the individual will also have an opportunity to work across the investment floor.
Evaluate long term macro trends and changes in the economic, regulatory, legislative, and competitive business environment which are likely to have an impact on the performance of existing investments. Actively engage and debate how such changes create risks that could impact future investment strategy.
Develop an awareness and understanding of capital markets in order to assess risk adjusted returns and relative value across competing investment opportunities.
Develop an understanding of Insurance Company capital treatment and monitor regulatory changes that could impact the investment process.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Investment Professional or Senior Investment Professional.
Typical Skills and Experiences
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to establish and manage priorities, set standards, drive execution, and collaborate effectively;
Handles pressure well and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
Ability to successfully coordinate and work across different groups;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Critical and creative thinker able to articulate credit opinions and views;
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Positive, hardworking, and professional;
Highly collaborative and a team player;
Organized, detailed, and process oriented
