About the role

Job Description

PDMB provides data-driven operations and automation support to regulated bioanalytical laboratories. We combine laboratory domain knowledge, robotic work cells, and modern data platforms to ensure reliable, compliant, and continuously improving lab operations. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team partnering with lab scientists, automation engineers, IT, Clinical, and QA, to turn operational and scientific data into trusted insights.

The PDMB Regulated Bioanalytics Department is seeking a Data Management Associate to join our LIMS & Data Management group. This role will support work across groups within the Regulated Bioanalytics Department, including work at our Company's new state-of-the-art GxP lab facility in West Point, PA. At this new facility, we will combine the power of innovative robotics, IT platforms, and science to accelerate vaccines and enable late-stage clinical trials through the generation of timely, high-quality regulated bioanalytical data. A combination of molecular (e.g., PCR), serology (e.g., ligand binding immunoassays), and cell-based assays (e.g., neutralization assays) will be utilized to generate pivotal safety and efficacy clinical patient data required for regulatory filings. As the late-stage facility will not be fully constructed and ready for occupancy until late 2026, initial roles will complete training and perform work primarily at our Company's Springhouse Innovation Park facility in Lower Gwynedd Township, PA.

An ideal candidate will have experience managing, implementing, and performing data analysis on data captured in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) within the regulated bioanalytical laboratory setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and documenting data flows spanning the full sample lifecycle from collection through to testing and result reporting to ensure data integrity and robustness.

  • Ensuring compliant data management for data-generating instruments and equipment, and their orchestrators within PDMB’s robotic work cells.

  • Creating use cases to leverage AI and machine vision to proactively monitor and analyze performance in PDMB’s operational dataset and gather insight on potential optimizations and working with IT to deliver compliant solutions.

  • Assisting with validation of computerized systems.

  • Graph data modeling to simplify traversing through operational and result data

  • 1+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related role.

  • SQL

  • Experience with at least one scripting language (Python recommended; R acceptable).

  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and laboratory data structures, and hands-on working experience with laboratory platforms (LIMS, ELN) or instrument data integration.

  • Understanding of regulated laboratory principles (GLP/GxP, data integrity concepts such as ALCOA+).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document processes and deliverables clearly.

  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Exposure to machine-learning or computer-vision tools, and experience with prototyping models.

  • Experience or interest in graph data modeling and familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).
