Humana is looking for a UX product designer with a strong background in user-centric design methodologies. Our organization sees the values of UX principles and practices, and we are working to encompass that in the design and building of technology solutions. You’ll be involved throughout the entire design process from gathering user requirements to producing detailed designs. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other users as you build a best-in-class user experience for our internal teams.

Work hours are Monday - Friday, typically between 8:00am to 5:00pm

Note: Candidates should have a digital portfolio readily available to present to the hiring team.

As a UX Designer you will:  

• Be an advocate for our users – their needs, goals, motivations, pain-points and mindsets - throughout the product life cycle.

• Conduct user interviews to establish requirements and gaps and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

• Apply various research methodologies to uncover insights.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.

• Utilize your understanding of UX design principles for web, mobile, data visualization and dashboards. 

• Maintain the integrity of team brand and design standards. 

•  Produce UX deliverables and present them back to the internal team. 

• Work with our teams of developers to ensure that solutions align with technical requirements and constraints.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Human-centered design and research experience 

• Experience designing for consumer-facing data visualizations.

• Demonstrated ability using any one of the following: Sketch, Axure, Invision, Simpli, and/or Adobe Products

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Effective communication skills as a writer, presenter, and facilitator.

• Knowledge of current design standards & best practices  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or certification) in interaction design, human-computer interaction, UX research or a related field

• Experience designing for the healthcare industry.

• Understanding of and experience applying accessibility standards.  

• Coding experience
