What will you do?

As an Electrical Engineer in our Systems group, you will work with an interdisciplinary team of optical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop creative solutions in a variety of problem domains.

Essential Job Functions:

• Concept design and architecture for electrical sub-systems
• Detailed electronics design and prototype builds
• Embedded firmware/software development
• Design documentation and presentation
• Support procurement, integration, and testing

Location

Based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.

What are we looking for?

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 3+ years of industry experience with significant design responsibility
• Analog/Digital circuit design and simulation
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout (Altium preferred)
• Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly process
• Design and layout of electrical boxes with a mix of COTS and custom components
• Competent with test equipment such as: DMMs, oscilloscopes, serial analyzers, spectrum analyzers
• FPGA programming experience (VHDL or Verilog)
• Experience developing C/C++ for microcontrollers and SoCs
• Experience with the Git version control system
• Ability to prepare proposals and presentations and assist with sales meetings as necessary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to compellingly present technical information to groups
• Must be a US Person (U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident)

Prederred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Altium Designer
• 2+ years of experience with Xilinx Zynq SoCs and related toolchains
• Experience with TI MCUs and general TI ecosystem
• Domain knowledge in controls and mechatronics
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
• Technical leadership experience

Compensation and Benefits

Electrical Engineer II pay range: $78,279.66 - $127,907.94*

*This pay range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
