Senior Cloud Engineer - Hybrid

  The Cloud Deployment Engineering (CDE) team is responsible for server configuration and management leveraging Saltstack, Terraform, and repository mirroring.  Additionally, we build the framework to provide security compliant server and container images and facilitate fully patched operating systems.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience providing solutions to customers leveraging Python with a full understanding of the Linux operating system and production experience with Kubernetes deployment and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior cloud engineers, promoting best practices in cloud architecture and design.
• Design and develop cloud-native applications and infrastructure using Python, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues, requiring a solid understanding of Linux system behavior.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure the team adheres to high-quality coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation.
• Collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements and deliver tailored cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within the cloud computing or SaaS industry.
• Expert proficiency in Python programming, with the ability to write clean, efficient code for automation and scripting.
• Basic troubleshooting skills with the Linux operating system, including experience with package management and system administration.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Saltstack, or Terraform.
• Knowledge and experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
