Tax Associate - Office of Staff Services

Provide income tax advisory services for all Voting/Consulting staff. Services include income tax consulting, income tax planning, calculation of withholding from salary and pension payments, calculation of quarterly estimated payments, preparation of W-4s, and corresponding with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state Departments of Revenue when necessary.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of three years’ experience in the field of income tax preparation is required. Other business related bachelor's degrees require a minimum of five years of experience in in the field of income tax preparation. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Prior experience in developing and delivering training preferred. Must have strong interviewing skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; Must be proficient in Excel. Demonstrated strong personal computer, communication, project management, leadership, problem solving, continuous improvement, customer service, and team building skills. Demonstrate extensive, practical knowledge of income tax laws. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
