The Senior UX Strategist will partner with the business and engineering teams to transform mindsets and establish core knowledge around industry standards and norms. We are looking for someone who can formulate product vision and guide team efforts around finding common ground between user needs and business goals. The Sr. UX Strategist will bring people together, demonstrate thought leadership, visualize future state experiences, and articulate user metrics for ongoing product development.

What will you do?
- Setting UX strategy for the Federal Reserve System’s CBDC research and development team
- Supports all aspects of design and production, focusing specifically on UI/UX design concepts and delivery
- Creates innovative and appealing designs on a rapid and iterative basis, through sketches, storyboards, user task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and the production of final assets for specific features and projects
- Collaborate amongst a dynamic and Agile UX team (strategists, researchers, designers) and System-wide product teams
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, attitudes, and expectations connected to our business (journeys, scenarios, service blueprints, pain/gain points, experience principles)
- Advocate for design thinking and agile mindsets to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Transform insights into business opportunities and value adding capabilities
- Demonstrate technical thought leadership and the ability to prioritize delivering measurable outcomes
- Orchestrate user experiences across multiple product teams to ensure alignment with organization objectives
- Closely collaborate with UX Analysts and Designers towards improving user and business engagement
- Question assumptions, conventional thinking, and practice curiosity to improve business capabilities
- Facilitate human-centered design methodologies which explore gaps, challenges, objectives, etc. that drive requirements and roadmap strategies
- Ensure that scalable, cost effective, and measurable deliverables promote accountability and shared responsibility for the user experience
- Seek out and support new ideas or innovative approaches to work processes, while considering the Bank’s existing culture
What you need?
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Communications, or closely related field, or related work experience
- Portfolio that demonstrates component-driven design, modern design practices, complex UI micro-interactions and UX metrics case studies
- 8+ years of relevant technical or business work experience
- Proven success at acquiring and distilling user needs to business leaders, and demonstrated confidence in public speaking, facilitation, and/or the ability to inspire teams or stakeholders
- Alignment around our core values, which include storytelling, convergence, and excellence – we believe in progress over perfection, and outcomes over outputs
- 3+ years of prototyping experience and familiarity of designer tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, XD)
- 3+ years of design thinking workshop facilitation, and deep knowledge of ideation tools such as MURAL or MIRO
- Proficiency with one or more usability testing tools or services
- Must be a U.S Citizen
