Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead and grow a structural engineering department within a multidisciplinary environment. This role is responsible for overseeing technical execution, managing team performance, and delivering high-quality structural solutions across a variety of public and private sector projects. The position offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role while driving project success and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural engineering department, including team development and resource planning
• Oversee the design and delivery of structural projects, including municipal facilities, public buildings, and infrastructure upgrades
• Serve as the primary structural point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes
• Provide technical oversight, quality control, and mentorship to engineering staff
• Collaborate with internal teams across civil/site, traffic, water/wastewater, GIS, and survey disciplines
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing to support efficient and profitable execution
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with municipalities, agencies, and institutional partners
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Pennsylvania or ability to obtain)
• 8+ years of experience in structural design and project management
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex projects
• Strong expertise in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design
• Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (RISA, RAM, STAAD, Revit, AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
