Job Summary:

Bauer Foundation Corp. is searching for a Senior Staff Accountant to assist with accounts payable functions, general ledger account reconciliations, weekly check run reporting and other accounting responsibilities. The position will appeal to individuals who are highly motivated, self-starters, detail oriented and enjoy working within multiple disciplines of the accounting profession.

The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, managing the general ledger, job cost accounting, profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• ? Maintain the general ledger for monthly closing and reporting cycles, including preparation of all period end journal entries.
• ? The ability to generate financial statements is an added bonus.
• ? Fixed asset accounting including capitalization, disposal and depreciation.
• ? Record pay applications, report and monitor accounts receivables.
• ? Maintain bank accounts, including recording of daily cash activity, monthly bank transactions, and performing monthly bank    reconciliations.
• ? Monthly, quarterly and year-end reconciliations, including reconciling sub-legers to general ledger.
• ? Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
• ? Work with project teams to resolve job cost queries.
• ? Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to the flow of information, month-end closing, project accounting and management reports.
• ? Prepare sales and property tax remittances.
• ? Other financial and profitability analysis as required.
• ? To become in-house expert on SAP Business One.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a job costing environment, preferably in the heavy construction industries.
• Experience with and understanding of job cost accounting.
• Experience with SAP Business One is preferred.
• Well organized with ability to manage multiple priorities while working towards tight deadlines.
• Superior analytical & problem solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
