About the role

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team and based in our Arden Hills, MN location. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. This position will partner with the business, providing tactical business imperatives to drive short and long term goals for CPC and will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: coaching, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand business strategy, plan, and activities to assess needs and barriers in order to drive business performance through development and delivery of people strategy and solutions.
  • Collaborate with leaders on developing short and longer-term organizational design and people strategies to ensure alignment to CPC strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted and credible partner, providing expert employee relations and consultative services to leadership and employees, including performance management, corrective/disciplinary action, and investigations.
  • Strive to live and model the company mission, values and leadership behaviors.
  • Perform diverse assignments including, but not limited to employee relations, full-cycle talent acquisition, compensation, compliance benefit & leave administration, training, staffing, organizational and individual development, talent management, reward & recognition, change management and process improvements.
  • Promote an environment of positive employee relations, maintaining confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, and demonstrating high-level of integrity.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource’s functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Develop and enhance HR standards, process, and tools to ensure a consistently empowering employee experience.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

 

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 4 (four) or more years of direct experience working in the HR field, with increasing levels of responsibility

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • HRIS (SuccessFactors) and payroll software (ADP) experience
  • Superb consulting and critical thinking skills.
  • Business acumen and solid understanding of company strategy, business and competitive positioning.
  • Proven ability to coach, advise and collaborate with senior executives on organizational effectiveness and HR issues. 

 

Travel:           

  • Up to 5%
