The Opthamology Department at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate,

Job Duties

  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • Establishs new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals. 
  • Maintains laboratory operations.
  • Supervises research staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates should have Ph.D. in life sciences and motivation for high-quality research.
  • Experience with molecular/cellular biology, genetics or biochemistry is preferred. 
  • Prior experience in the following areas is preferred: histopathology, transcriptome profiling, advanced in vivo imaging in animal models, gene therapy, and drug delivery.
  • Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
