We're seeking a Senior Medical Advisor to join Radiometer's Global Medical Affairs team. This position drives critical medical and scientific initiatives both internally and externally, supporting our existing product portfolio while helping define the future of point-of-care technologies in acute and emergency healthcare environments.
Based remotely in Spain with up to 25% travel to Copenhagen, Denmark, and various international locations.
Part of our CMSS (Clinical, Medical Safety and Surveillance) Department, you'll report directly to our Senior Director of Medical Affairs.
Your responsibilities will span leading medical initiatives across the organization, facilitating cross-functional collaboration in development projects, creating scientific and promotional materials, and building relationships with internal experts and Key External Experts (KEE) in hospitals globally. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead Medical Affairs Strategy: Apply your Medical Affairs expertise to shape and execute strategic initiatives, collaborating closely with Development Core teams and cross-functional partners including Clinical Affairs, Surveillance, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance (encompassing Risk Management and Vigilance).
Serve as Clinical Expert: Act as the primary subject matter expert for clinical, medical, and scientific aspects of point-of-care testing in acute and emergency care environments, while providing critical insights to Strategic Marketing and Business Development teams for future product development.
Develop Scientific Communications: Leverage your clinical knowledge to produce compelling scientific content and materials for our acute care product portfolio, working in close partnership with Commercial Enablement teams.
Build Global Healthcare Networks: Cultivate strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and key external experts internationally, supporting investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and key external expert (KEE) engagement initiatives.
Represent Medical Expertise: Deliver impactful presentations to both external and internal stakeholders on medical and scientific topics, while actively participating in and contributing to industry meetings and conferences
The essential requirements of the job include:
Advanced Credentials with Industry Experience: Hold a PhD in Biosciences, Pharmacy degree, or MD with a minimum of 5 years in Medical Affairs within the IVD or Medical Device sector, specifically focused on Point-of-Care applications.
Proven Development Project Leadership: Demonstrate successful experience in IVD industry development initiatives, showcasing strong cross-functional collaboration skills and contributions to new product development projects.
Exceptional Scientific Communication Skills: Exhibit fluency in English communication, both written and verbal, with demonstrated expertise in delivering scientific presentations to diverse audiences.
Strategic Task Management Capabilities: Show proficiency in prioritizing workload and initiatives effectively while maintaining alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Technical/Scientific knowledge /experience in Clinical Chemistry is desirable.
Experience in Acute and Emergency care spaces
